Stelluna

Web design and development for a holistic community, plant medicine shop, and thrift store

Case Study

Client:

Stelluna is an intentional brand and community for the spiritually curious based in Richmond, VA. They offer lovingly curated vintage goods, vibrational plant medicine, and 1:1 mystical services.

Tech Used:

Figma, Photoshop, Squarespace

Project Goal:

Stelluna’s DIY website felt cramped and constrained. There were links to a handful of basic pages, but it wasn't a curated experience that welcomed in new and returning users.

Stelluna's founder, Sam, wanted to work with someone who was openly mystically inclined to create a digital experience for their community and audience. They wanted a space for folks to be invited into the community. The goal was to signal that this space is primarily for the collective and not about the individual.

With their diverse offerings, Sam wanted to ensure every person coming to the site felt its intention, whether they were most interested in learning, shopping, or exploring services.

Outcome:

Stelluna had recently gone through a brand refresh, which allowed me to focus on creating a web portal that was inviting to new users. Education and connection are two of Stelluna's guiding principles. It was important that we create opportunities for folks to learn about the community and the work, rather than mindlessly consuming.

The web design guides the user through a welcoming site that informs without overwhelming the user and makes it easy to find what they might be looking for.

Throughout the site, I used curved elements along with branded plant icons to create a feeling of breath and natural, cyclical movement.

The result is a warm web portal that showcases the magic of Stelluna and their commitment to building an intentional community of seekers.
