Alliance for a Healthier Generation, an organization working to build healthier communities by empowering children to develop lifelong healthy habits.

Portland, OR

Project Goal:

  • I worked in-house with the AHG team for three months, culminating in the launch of the #GirlsAre campaign. The team was in a transition period. I split my time between squashing bugs in a legacy monolith CMS, adding new features, and collaborating with the design and marketing teams.
  • The campaign's goal was to empower girls to stay in sports as they got older. To marketing team also had a goal of collecting emails and increasing engagements.

Process:

  • I worked closely with the creative and marketing directors to ensure that the site would meet both of their needs while being accessible and not sacrificing speed.
  • To ensure responsiveness for the Girls Are project, I created a mobile design based on the desktop design.

Outcome:

  • We created two prominent email captures on the page. Sharable assets were used to increase engagement. Hooks were added so that users could easily share the images to Facebook and Twitter.
  • Marketing was able to meet their goal of getting a high number of leads through the site.
